Summer Day Camp and Adventure Day Camp are taking enrollment for the 2008 sessions now. Call the camp office if you have questions.
Program:
Camp Loughridge’s Summer Day Camp is a classic
Christian summer camp experience in a day camp format.
This program puts children outdoors to do the things
they love to do: archery, arts & crafts, canoeing,
challenge and ropes events, chapel, court sports
and games, dance, nature, sports field games, and
swimming. |
|
A typical day at the camp starts with a morning “pow-wow”
gathering filled with music, fun, and skits, and moves
into times for nature hikes, sports
activities, arts and crafts, archery, and swimming sessions
supervised by certified lifeguards.
Camp Loughridge is a Christian ministry. Our goal is
to help children experience a living, loving relationship
with God and His world. Your camper’s days will
be filled with opportunities to experience the beauty
of God’s creation and to HAVE FUN!
Campers:
Summer Day Camp is open to children ages 6-10. Campers
are divided into groups according to their age and gender.
We maintain a low camper to staff ratio. Note: Campers
in Summer Day Camp may request grouping one friend of
the same gender and age in the same tribe.
Staff:
Our summer staff is composed of high school students,
college students, and adults selected for their proven
commitment to Christian values, leadership qualities,
and ability and desire to work with children. All counselors
are certified in basic first aid and CPR, and receive
training in camp safety, group dynamics, handling of
discipline problems, recreational leadership, and the
physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
of children.
Our staff understands and takes seriously their responsibility
as role models for campers; their goal is to represent
Christ in word and deed.
Day Camp Lunches:
Daily hot lunches are provided in the camp fee. We have
a trained kitchen staff that will provide healthy and
pleasing kid-tested meals. In addition, campers are
provided each day with a mid-afternoon snack. We do
not allow children to bring candy or soft drinks to
camp.
Anything Else?
Each camper’s tuition covers all activities, daily
hot lunches, camp T-shirt, camp water bottle, and an
all-camp photo.
