Christian summer day and adventure camps, serves churches
through retreat, event and conference facilities, and

Summer Staff Positions
If you are interested in applying for a job on our
summer staff, read on! You will note that all staff
must be at least 17 years of age, with hiring preference
to those 18 or older. All staff must complete an application
and interview before being considered for any position.
 If
you are between the ages of 14 and 16, we have a Leadership
Development Program that you can participate in to prepare
you to eventually apply to be on our summer staff. If
you are interested in participating in this program,

Our summer Day Camp staff is composed of students and
adults selected for their proven commitment to Christian
values, camp experience, leadership qualities, and ability
to work with children. All counselors will receive instruction
in camp safety, group dynamics, handling of discipline
problems, recreational leadership, and the psychological,
physiological, social, and spiritual needs of children.
Our staff understands and takes seriously their responsibility
as role models for campers; their goal is to represent
Jesus Christ in word and deed.
Our summer staff covers a variety of jobs. The positions
we offer for summer staff positions include the following:
- Counselor/Activity Specialist:
Responsible for supervising and serving one "tribe"
of campers each week and specializing in and leading
one activity area for at least one week during the
summer (Such as Nature, Canoe, Archery, Challenge
Course, Arts & Crafts, Dance, etc.)
- Activity Specialists: Responsible
for managing a specific activity for the entire summer.
These areas would include Arts & Crafts and Challenge
Course.
- Support Staff: Responsible for
serving in areas that support the overall day camp
program. These areas would include Office Assistant,
Maintenance Assistant, and First Aid specialist.
- Lifeguards: This is our only hourly
staff that we hire for the summer and they serve our
day camp plus evening and weekend groups.
Summer Staff who are available to work for all 7 camp
sessions and attend staff orientation are given
strongest consideration for hire.
A leadership team composed of several head counselors
and small group leaders provides oversight and direction
of all staff and programs. Head counselors and small
group leader positions are available only to applicants
who have completed at least one year of college and
have prior Christian camp ministry experience.
Staff Orientation and Training times will occur before camp begins.
(Note: some overnights
will be required, but we will have the weekends off.)
The dates and times for
Lifeguard staff training will vary slightly. Summer
staff working in July only is highly encouraged to attend
the regular staff training.
